Om Gam Ganapataye Namah.
Meaning
Om, salutations to Ganapati (Ganesha), invoked through his seed syllable (bija mantra) "Gam". Ganesha is worshipped first before any undertaking as Vighnaharta, the remover of obstacles.
When & Why It Is Recited
Chanted before starting any new venture, journey, exam or ceremony, and throughout the ten days of Ganesh Chaturthi, for removal of obstacles and auspicious beginnings.
