Recite the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra or the Rudram-Chamakam (in a full traditional Rudrabhishek) throughout the abhishek. 4. Rinse with pure water and Ganga jal between each substance. 5. After abhishek, apply bhasma (sacred ash) and chandan to the linga, and offer bel patra, dhatura flowers, and akand flowers (Shiva's preferred offerings). 6. Conclude with dhoop, deep and the Shiv Chalisa or Om Jai Shiv Omkara aarti.
