Step-by-Step Vidhi
1. Decorate the home and a small cradle/swing (jhula) for the baby Krishna idol with flowers and peacock feathers. 2. Observe a fast through the day, breaking it only after midnight (Krishna's believed birth time). 3. At midnight, bathe the Krishna idol with panchamrit followed by clean water, dress it in new clothes and ornaments, and place it in the decorated cradle. 4. Offer makhan-mishri, tulsi leaves and dhaniya panjiri as naivedya, chanting "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya". 5. Perform aarti, gently rock the cradle, and distribute prasad to break the fast.
