Offer panchamrit abhishek, followed by a fresh water bath, new yellow cloth, sandal paste, flowers, tulsi leaves, roli and akshat. 4. Prepare the prasad (sheera/panjiri using flour, ghee, sugar and banana) and place it before the deity. 5. Recite the Satyanarayan Katha (five chapters) with all family members and guests seated together, listening attentively. 6. Perform aarti and distribute the prasad to everyone present, as refusing this prasad is considered inauspicious in the katha tradition.
