About this Festival

Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most important Hindu festivals. It marks the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Rows of clay lamps (diyas) are lit to welcome Goddess Lakshmi. Fireworks, sweets, and new clothes mark the celebrations.
