About this Festival

Navratri ("nine nights") is a major Hindu festival dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Each of the nine nights is dedicated to one manifestation of Durga. The festival is celebrated with fasting, prayer, Garba and Dandiya dance, and reading the Devi Mahatmyam.
