About this Festival

Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is one of the four most sacred days in the Hindu calendar. "Akshaya" means "never diminishing" — any charitable deed or auspicious beginning on this day is believed to bring never-ending good fortune. Gold and property purchases are considered especially auspicious.
