About this Festival

Maha Navami is the ninth and last day of Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri, the bestower of supernatural powers. Kanya Puja (worship of young girls as embodiments of the goddess) is performed on this day. Weapons and tools of trade are also worshipped.
